Old School Back Half Banquet for 2011 Season5 Second Old School Back Half Ceremony
The season started off on April 2nd at Redline Raceway where Tony Thorne took the win and Blake McBride was the runner-up. Tony also had Top MPH and won low ET for that race with Ronnie Mitchell taking the best reaction time. The May 7th race was a Tony Thorne repeat win with Tony Linduff taking the runner-up position. Tony Thorne had the top MPH and took home the money for low ET and best reaction. June 4th race
was a Tony Thorne 3-peat with Alan Durban taking the runner-up position. Tony Thorne had the top MPH,
Kelly Duncan with low ET and Tony Thorne taking the best reaction time. Our first double points race was July 2nd where Tony Linduff took the win and Blake McBride was the runner-up. Blake had the top MPH
And Tony won low ET and best reaction time. At our August 6th race Kelly Duncan took the win with Kameran Moyer as runner-up. Kelly had top MPH
and won low ET and Jerry Jayroe took home the money for best reaction time.
September 1st was our second points race of the season and our guys just reversed the order from the previous month and Kameran Moyer took home the win with Kelly Duncan as runner-up.
Kameran had top MPH, Kelly won low ET and Blake McBride took home the money for best reaction time.
Our last event of the year happened Oct. 8 and Oct. 22 due to a rain out. Greg Moss took the win with Jay Moore taking the runner-up position. This race was the closest margin of victory we have ever had with Greg winning by a hole shot. Kelly Duncan had top MHP
and low ET before breaking in the semi- round. Greg Moss took home the money for best reaction time.
This race also gets my vote for the most exciting!
Equal times were ran, until the win light came on we had no idea who took the victory.
All of our cars moved up in power and that was not without an incident or two. Ronnie Mitchell giving us the biggest scare when he tried to play a little pin ball with his Nova. I think he was trying to tie Richard Blair’s record of kissing the guardrail a time or, two.
Jerry Jayroe, had his hood blow off. Thankfully it landed safely and so did Jayroe. Then there is the Keith Moyer Kevin Shipp race where all you want to say that one is…
can I see that again in slo mo please? Of course I cannot leave the Purple Mongoose out of the equation.
All year was a test & tune season for us. Our team went a new direction with the blower motor and ran into our very own trial and error’s. After our season was over the team just had to take it out one more time and for those of you that don’t know the Cuda had a personal encounter with the 55 Boyz. All and all it was a good season and everyone walked away safely and geared up for another great season in 2012.

Old School Backhalf Sat. 4-24-10
I thought that the Backhalf boys would never get a pass. It finally happened. Around 10 pm. Brandon Blair made a pass in the tower lane. It was apparent that he had hit his 2nd stage nitrous when he crossed some water on the track. He tried to save it but hit the guard rail. He brought the car over this morning. I hope to have it fixed by Thursday.
It looked like he was going over. He is fine now. Just cosmetic damage.
Many of the drivers elected not to run because of water coming up through the cracks in the track . The crew did a good job keeping it dry.
Congratulation to Richard Blair for the win. Great show Bubba and Karen.
This was Richards final pass. Carried the wheels to about half track. Good straight run. I am proud of him.
This is the gang after the race.
This is Richard after the win!
Second place. Nathan Bevilacqua! I was told by Karen that Nathan was just there to test his car. She talked him into join the race. He went home with 2nd place.

April 17
Old School BackhalfHello everyone. It was a washout at Redline on Saturday, April 17. I want to thank Bubba and Karen Jackson for all of their hard work. We arrived and it seemed that the weather may hold off. Suddenly the raindrops started to fall. Kelly decided to call the race and reschedule for next Saturday. He said to show your wrist bands and run sheets for entry. Richard Blair had a surprise when he loaded his car. The rear end was moving due to a break in a suspension part.
Kelly has a new motor for his truck and stated he was very pleased. He built the engine himself. He seemed excited to run the truck.
I recently bought a new camera. I am using all the money I make from my photographs sold to invest in better equipment. Thanks to all of you for your support. I want to give you the best possible photograph that I can. I take pride in my work and hope it shows. Don’t hesitate to call me or email me if you have any questions or special request.
